The SITREP: DoD Stands at the Ready, Responding to National Disasters on Both Coasts

From the military services and around the DoD, here’s your SITREP for Tuesday, September 12, 2017.

  • Oregon Army and Air National Guard members worked to help contain the threats of wildfires across the state. Nearly 600 Oregon guardsmen have volunteered to join the fight against the wildfires.
  • Navy details what service members and personnel should do during natural disaster evacuations.
  • Air Force delivers medical professionals to Florida for Hurricane Irma response.
  • The DoD’s Hurricane Irma response doesn’t stop at the U.S. border. Service members helped with St. Maarten evacuations as well.
