I received an email in February stating I have been approved for retroactive stop loss pay after applying in November. I called a week later to find out the details and they told me I had been approved for 18 months and it would take about 60 days to recieve payment. Today I received another email stating they needed more documents or my claim would be denied (and they need them in 10 days or less). Can they approve, and then deny???!!! Has this happened to anyone else??

C'mon folks. Hurt Locker was great entertainment, and I cheered each time the EOD team successfully accomplished their makebelieve missions on film. And I'm thinking most of the American viewing public knows full well that this is fiction....yet.....there's a huge amount of "truth" in the film. Having served in the military for more than 27 years, it's easy for me to see what's real and what isn't. If you're worried about the great unwashed public getting the wrong impression of who you are and what you do, don't worry about it. They respect you and the dangers of your mission as much as I do.

What can you say it's Hollywood and they generally don't have much of a clue about anything. The scary part is when they are called to testify on capitol hill.

I would like to say I have been using the MyCAA program since September and was very pleased. I am very sad and upset to hear of the halt. I am a nurse and was using the funding to complete my degree. I already have $23,000 in student loans, so this was a way for me to go to school without collecting more debt. I really hope they find a way to help us all complete the education we need since we all sacrifice so much for our country.
