Aircraft assigned to Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 9 fly in formation over Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74), Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS William P. Lawrence (DDG 110), left, and Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Mobile Bay (CG 53), right, during an air and sea power demonstration. The demonstration was part of a schedule of events put together for a tiger cruise, an opportunity for Sailors to invite their family and friends to experience life underway aboard a Navy ship. Providing a combat-ready force to protect collective maritime interests, John C. Stennis is on a regularly scheduled Western Pacific deployment.
