Chairman Discusses Combating Sexual Assault in the Military

On Thursday, April 10, we held a DoDLive Bloggers Roundtable with Army Gen. Martin E. Dempsey, 18th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Gen. Dempsey answered questions about combating sexual assault in the U.S. military.

Gen. Dempsey recently spoke to cadets and midshipmen at the U.S. Military Academy and the U.S. Naval Academy where he discussed, among many topics, leadership, sexual assault prevention and sexual assault’s impact on the profession of arms.

Gen. Dempsey and Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel recently recorded a Sexual Assault Awareness Month message, which you can view below.
