Santa’s Workshop in Rota, Spain

The weather here in Maryland has been strange in the past few days. Averaging near 70 degrees, it’s difficult to feel as though we are really this far into December and just a couple of days away from Christmas. For some military families stationed overseas, it’s not just the weather that can put a damper on your holiday season. Being far from home, and attempting to celebrate a holiday that isn’t traditional for the country that you’re stationed in can be difficult.

However, there are certsain organizations that try to make the holidays special for those stationed abroad. Thanks to the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, children nearby Naval Station Rota, Spain had an opportunity to experience some holiday fun. With the help of elves and Santa Claus, the children were able to shop for presents for their family and friends.
