Suicide Prevention Run

Soldiers from Forward Operating Base Salermo, in Khost, Afghanistan, came together to participate in a charity run. The run came after the loss of a fellow soldier and friend, known locally as “Big Swoll”. The company commander and a soldier gave a suicide prevention and awareness message to the soldiers at the run.

Suicide can be prevented by friends, family and battle buddies. If someone you know is going through a difficult time, and you feel that they need help; contact the Veterans Crisis Line. It’s available 24/7 and is only a call or mouse click away.
