Return from Injury

Post by Josiah Wilson, Defense Media Activity

In 2012, Army Spc. Tyler Carroll lost complete mobility of his left arm after taking taking shrapnel to the shoulder during an indirect firefight. His injury didn’t sideline his Army career, however. After rehabbing his shoulder, he is back in the air, jumping from CH-47 helicopters.

I think it’s admirable that he pushes on despite such a life-changing obstacle. His motivation is exemplary, especially considering the fact that he is working toward becoming a member of the U.S. Army Special Operations Command.
