Bloggers Roundtable: Drink Responsibly Month

On June 11, 2013, in observance of Drink Responsibly Month, DoDLive hosted a Health Promotion and Wellness Bloggers Roundtable featuring two prominent military health representatives who discussed the importance of preventing excessive alcohol consumption among Sailors and Marines.

The Roundtable highlighted the Navy’s new Keep What You’ve Earned campaign and the recently launched alcohol detection devices implementation program. The session also provided an opportunity to learn about the Preventing Drug Abuse and Excessive Alcohol Use component of the Navy and Marine Corps Public Health Center’s (NMCPHC) Health Promotion and Wellness campaign, and the impact of alcohol abuse on military readiness.

Guests for the Bloggers Roundtable included Dr. Mark Long, Public Health Educator, Health Promotion Wellness Program, NMCPHC and Mr. Mike Aukerman, Alcohol Program Manager, Navy Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention (NADAP).
