Earth Day: USACE Going Green

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is building green, but did you know that it has one of the largest environmental restoration and sustainability roles in the federal government? The Corps manages waterways for navigation and recreation, and is the steward of nearly 12 million acres of land and water in 43 states. The Corps works collaboratively to find a balance between human, economic and natural systems.

Here’s how USACE is working to sustain our nation’s economic and vital water resources in the arid Southwest. Also, you can read and learn more about what the USACE Sustainability campaign is.

And don’t forget about Earth Day! April 22nd is right around the corner.
