Heidelberg Barbers Prepare for Base Closure

As the U.S. Army in Europe moves its headquarters from Heidelberg to Wiesbaden, Germany, an era comes to a close for soldiers and community members alike.

The owner of the base’s barber moved from Turkey to Germany when he was 19 years old. Now, he is preparing to hang up his clippers after keeping Heidelberg’s troops clean shaven for over 20 years.
