Thoughts on African American History Month from Afghanistan

Excellent video put together by AFN Afghanistan on the history of service by African Americans in the U.S. military, told from the point of view of African Americans currently serving in Afghanistan.

“What a lot of people do not know is black Americans, or African Americans, they have served in every single war that our country has embarked upon, and I think that’s important. We have always moved to the sound of the gun when our country has called on us,” Brig. Gen. Stephen Twitty, Deputy Chief of Staff Communication, ISAF, USFOR-A, said in the video.
