For you fitness enthusiasts out there, how awesome would it be to run a 5K race on the flight deck of an aircraft carrier while it’s underway?
Well, if you’re fortunate enough to belong to this gym, er, I mean if you are assigned to USS John. C. Stennis (CVN 74) then you know firsthand how exhilarating it is.
I’ve experienced landing on a flight deck in the belly of a C-2A Greyhound (haven’t had the pleasure of launching from one though) but I think I will add “run 5K on an aircraft carrier while at sea” to my bucket list just because I think it’d be neat.
