Delivering Mail Before Christmas

A three-soldier team from the U.S. Army Reserve’s 316th Expeditionary Sustainment Command have delivered approximately 24,445 pounds of mail since Thanksgiving when they established the Army post office for the 2-18 Field Artillery Battalion in the Middle East. The 2-18 Field Artillery Battalion is deployed to a location where there wasn’t mail service. It was priority of the 316th to ensure these Soldiers would be able to receive their Christmas mail. The 316th ESC from Coraopolis, PA., is currently deployed to Kuwait in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. It expects to return to Pennsylvania within the first few months of 2013.
