If you’re a veteran or military spouse, you know all too well the hurdles that come with that serving your country. Frequent moves, time spent apart and unemployment often come together. Fortunately, the Joining Forces campaign and the Department of Defense’s Military Spouse Employment Partnership are making strides to provide vets and their spouses tools to find the employment they need and deserve.
Today, on a DoDLive Bloggers Roundtable, Capt. Bradley Cooper, Executive Director of Joining Forces and Meg O’Grady, acting program manager of the DoD’s Military Spouse Employment Partnership, discussed current veteran and military spouse employment initiatives, successes to date, and goals for the future.
Joining us on the call: Dale Kissinger ( Military Avenue); Karen Golden ( Military Officers Association of America); Catherine Reynolds ( Military One Source); Katie Savant ( National Military Family Association) and AnnaMaria Mannino ( Blue Star Families).
