One woman’s perseverance in the wake of personal tragedy has helped thousands of friends and family of fallen servicemembers. Bonnie Carroll recounts the story of how the grief over the loss of her husband, Brigadier General Tom Carroll, led her to create the organization which now provides aid and comfort to survivors.
