The Path Less Traveled – Amazing Stories From The Warrior Games

“I lost my leg in Afghanistan.  Stepped on an IED.”
“I was struck in the head with an ax.”
“I was shot by a sniper in the face.”

The “how did you get here” stories of the wounded warriors competing in this year’s Warrior Games are not the most common stories of athletic achievement, but they are arguably the most incredible.

Wounded Warrior athletes from around the services are competing in Colorado Springs for the 2012 Warrior Games Competition. These soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines share their stories about how they pushed passed their injuries to make it to this year’s event. Army Sergeant Stacey Bredijk with the Joint Hometown News Team spoke with many of these service members and talked to them about their expectations for this year’s Warrior Games.
