Happy 114th birthday to the Army Reserve!
They may look like your average unit, but these soldiers are reservists. The Army Reserve is so much more than one weekend a month and two weeks a year. Reserve Component soldiers have served as the nation’s strategic force in reserve since its formation on April 23rd, 1908, and the mission continues to grow and expand. While they don’t train like their active duty counter parts, the soldiers bring experience to the mission that can only be obtained by being a reservist.
