On Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011, we hosted a DoDLive Bloggers Roundtable with Maj. Ed Pulido (U.S. Army, retired), of the Real Warriors Campaign.
The Real Warriors Campaign is a multimedia public education initiative from the Department of Defense designed to promote the processes of building resilience, facilitating recovery and supporting reintegration of returning service members, veterans and their families.
In honor of Veterans Day, Real Warrior Maj. Ed Pulido shared his story of seeking care for both his visible and invisible wounds, the tools and resources that have helped him most, and the ways in which he continues to serve the military community. Pulido discussed the Real Warriors Campaign and the tools and resources available to support veterans and members of the entire military community.
Joining Maj. Pulido on the call were Dr. Mark Bates, Director for Resilience and Prevention, Defense Centers of Excellence for Psychological Health and TBI (DCoE); Maj. Todd Yosick (U.S. Army), Deputy Director for Resilience and Prevention, DCoE; Verna Jones, Director of Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation Services for the American Legion.
