DoDLive Bloggers Roundtable: Real Warriors Campaign

Image: Real Warriors Logo

We recently held a bloggers roundtable with Maj. Jeffrey Hall and his wife Sheri Hall on Sept. 6. During the roundtable they discussed their experiences with the post combat stress and what resources they had to deal with it.

The Real Warriors campaign  is an initiative launched by the Defense Centers of Excellence for Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury (DCoE) to promote the processes of building resilience, facilitating recovery and supporting reintegration of returning service members, veterans and their families.

Also on the call was Dr. Emily Pearson of the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) who discussed further resources service members have for dealing with depression and post combat related stress.

Joining us on the call were Dale Kissinger, of Military Avenue; Phyllis Zimbler-Miller, of Mrs Lieutenant blog; Amy Buschatz, of SpouseBUZZ; and Barton Buechner, of VETRANSITIONS Project.
