DCoE’s National Center for Telehealth and Technology has always mingled the latest yet easily accessible technologies with the more human side of the work they conduct. This was exhibited in the “Second Life” simulation they created for outlining the symptoms and causes for PTSD.
Now they introduce the T2 Mood Tracker , a new mobile app that allows users to monitor, track and reference their emotional experience over a variety of time frames using a visual rating scale.
Emotional experiences like deployment-related behavioral health issues such as post-traumatic stress, brain injury, life stress, depression, and anxiety can all be tracked as well as rated. These self-ratings allow users to note environmental influences on these emotional experiences, and these tracking tools can act both as a self-help tool or be shared with therapists and health care professionals to provide information on the patient’s emotional experience.
For more information and links to getting this app from the Android Market and Apple’s App Store, visit the T2 Mood Tracker website.
