Veterans Day Special Offers and Promotions for Servicemembers

As Veterans Day approaches, many current and former servicemembers may be unaware of the special offers and promotions numerous companies will be running as a small token of gratitude for their time and service. Some stores will offer discounts on their products and a few restaurants will even be giving away free food.

It is generally a good idea to call ahead and see if your local retailer or restaurant franchise will be participating in the special Veterans Day promotions and deals.

Please note that these sites operate independently of DoDLive. We are linking to them as a courtesy to servicemembers who may not know about or have trouble keeping track of all the different promotions going on for Veterans Day.

  • Military.com compiled a list of Veterans Day discounts ranging from restaurant promotions to outdoor events. This includes reduced or complimentary admission into amusement parks and national parks, as well as reduced prices for places like bed-and-breakfasts and hotel accomodations.
  • Military Finance Network’s The Military Wallet blog has put together their own list, while there is some overlap, servicemembers will also find the site’s military discount list to be useful.
  • Website Coupon Sherpa offers these 35 steals and deals for servicemembers, and also offers a list of ceremonies around the country, giving servicemembers and their loved ones different opportunities to reflect and remember.
