Relaunch of the DoD Social Media Hub

Greetings from the Pentagon. Hey, guess what? We’ve redesigned our Social Media Hub. You should know that by now as the Twitterverse is all a-twitter about it. That, and you should have read the title of this post already. And we intend to keep doing this till you’re happy with it. So it is up to you to let us know. That is your responsibility. Welcome to SOCIAL Media.

Our Policy Memorandum, DTM 09-026, spells out for us the responsibility we have to help you understand what constitutes the “effective and responsible use of Internet-based capabilities.” To do that, we’ve added learning resources, Social Media Guides from the Services and some “How To” guides. We intend to add more as we have them. We also have a discussion board in the works.

We’re posting guidance from the Services as well. At least the Army and Marine Corps; the Navy and Air Force are still working on theirs. I’m sure they won’t be too far BEHIND. We’ll post ‘em when we get ‘em.

So what else do we need? What else do YOU need? C’mon, be social.
