 Kabul – Coalition Forces from NATO Training Mission-Afghanistan raise international flags from half mast during a ceremony for fallen comrades on Memorial Day May 31, 2010. A ceremony held in honor of all fallen comrades of all wars and all nations was held at Camp Eggers, Kabul, Afghanistan. During a speech by Lt. Gen. William B. Caldwell IV the question was asked, “what does it take for a regular citizen to rise to the challenge and be willing to make the ultimate sacrifice in service to their nation?” Caldwell answered the question with: “The values of  loyalty, duty, respect, selfless-service, honor, integrity, and personal courage, adding that each and every nation shows these values in their service to their countries.” Caldwell ended the ceremony with, ”let us all use this day to focus our thoughts and prayers to cherish the memory of those loved and lost in the defense of our nations.” Camp Eggers is headquarters to NATO Training Command – Afghanistan.
