Video: Preparing for Haiti Relief

President Barack Obama said today that America will do all that it can to help the victims of Haiti, asking his cabinet leaders to make Haiti a top priority.  He has also announced that $100 million will be invested to aid in the relief efforts.

The U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard are assessing the situation, scouting for areas where they can set up bases of operation for relief missions.  Because of the number of injured people and the damage caused by the earthquake, airlifting patients to and from ships isn’t feasible.

Units from all of the military services are either in Haiti already or en route to help any way they can.
