The USO and 9/11 Tribute Center along with volunteers from the NYPD, FDNY, Port Authority, Wall Street business leaders and 9/11 families, military personnel and families will be preparing about 6,000 care package for our troops.
The event is being held this afternoon from 2-5 p.m. at World Trade Center Bldg 7′s 49th floor as a lead in to the 9/11 National Day of Service and Remembrance.

Also on Sept. 11, the New York Yankees will host a special USS New York night honoring the Commanding Officer and crew. The New York, built with steel from the World Trade Center’s towers, will be commissioned in Manhattan on November 7, 2009.
