Since 1923, the Naval Research Laboratory, or NRL, has been on the cutting edge of scientific search, exploring the boundaries of science and technology to help solve the challenges confronting U.S. military forces. In an Aug. 19 interview on “Armed with Science: Research and Applications for the Modern Military,” U.S. Navy Capt. Paul Stewart, commanding officer of NRL discusses the lab’s history and the latest unclassified work that researchers are pursuing.
