- More than 2,500 Wisconsin National Guard troops headed to Florida to assist the ongoing Hurricane Irma relief effort.
- Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southeast dispatched the first of a 17 person Contingency Engineering Response Team to help in Irma relief.
- Marine successfully defends his championship title at the Marine Corps third annual HITT Tactical Athlete Competition.
- Barksdale Air Force Base welcomed more than 70 aircraft and nearly 200 personnel as a result of Irma as officials evacuated aircraft ahead of the storm.
