To celebrate the one-year anniversary of  the Defense Department’s healthy living initiative – Operation Live Well – we hosted a DoDLive Bloggers Roundtable on Friday, May 23, 2014. Joining the roundtable was Marine Corps Master Gunnery Sgt. William Mahoney, Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel & Readiness and the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs, and Navy Command Master Chief Terry Prince, Senior Enlisted Advisor for the Defense Health Agency.

These senior DoD leaders discussed some of Operation Live Well’s accomplishments this past year, the road ahead and shared their own healthy living journey, which includes beating tobacco addiction. Our presenters also shared information about DoD’s tobacco cessation programs and inform you about various options for getting involved with Operation Live Well.

Learn more about how Operation Live Well is helping make the healthy choice the easy choice for the defense community by visiting its anniversary web page.
